Circuit Sketch

Delirious to discover last week that a trip home coincided with another great Doodleplanet night at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester.
Fellow doodlers this time around were ace designers (and all round good eggs) Phillip Fry & Jo Williams. You can see the results of our labours below, photographs courtesy of Mr Fry.

Above: We were drawing underneath a couple of huge, gel-clad stage lights, which lent the evening the blue tint seen here.

Above: The end result!
The paint markers provided are really lovely to use – every time I’ve done Doodleplanet I’ve wandered away thinking that I should get some myself. Really nice colours and smooth marks, plus you can go over them once they’re dry – grand!

I’ve been on a short holiday, and one of the things we did whilst away was to attend DoodlePlanet. This is an event that takes place every few months at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester. The organisers provide lots of big boards to draw on, great music, plus paint markers to hire for those without art materials to hand. Other than the hire fee (£5 for 6 pens, and you get £2 back when you return them) the event is entirely free, and great fun.
Fellow doodlers: Emilie Hornblower and Ellen & Adam Janman – thanks to Ellen for letting me steal her photographs.
Check out details of Doodleplanet here.

VERY quick sketch after watching the election news coverage commentate the roof of Nick Clegg’s car for 30 minutes this morning. This seemed the logical continuation of that!
