Conceptual illustrations for ImageZoo

For the last couple of months I’ve been primarily working on a collection of conceptual business illustrations for Canadian stock boutique ImageZoo. I’m really pleased with the finished pieces, a couple of which are now in my online portfolio. You can see the set in its entirety here at ImageZoo.

Sneak Peek

Sadly I haven’t had much time to do Illustration Friday, or much other personal work recently, so here’s a sneak peek of what I HAVE been working on. More to come!

Disguise – Illustration Friday

Illustration for The Orange Tree Theatre

I was recently commissioned by the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond to create the promotional image for one of their forthcoming productions; a new play entitled ‘How to be Happy’, written and to be directed by David Lewis.

The illustration was based upon a concept suggested by Stephanie Potter, the Marketing Officer at the theatre, and will feature on all of the promotional material for the production, including flyers, programs and posters (scan below of the season brochure page on which it features).

‘How to be Happy’ runs at the Orange Tree from the 5th October – 5th November. Expect excitable blog posts nearer the time when posters etc. will begin to appear!

Threadless T-shirt Design

Today I’ve submitted my first ever design to Threadless (purveyor of splendid T-shirts, hoodies etcetera), which can be seen above.

I’d really be extremely happy if anybody has the time to pop over there and vote for it to be printed (an event that would inspire a rousing ‘Huzzah’ from me, amongst other things). The design is a riff on the tribal mask collages that I’ve been doing recently (pour example), albeit one that features a little more modernity than ususal…

Anyhow, if you’d like to spread the good word about the design, have a gander HERE, where there are lots of ways of sharing the news and hopefully soon the option of judging its’ worth.
